ETUDES N°12 Fashion Show - Menswear Spring/Summer Collection 2018

Designers: Aurélien Arbet & Jérémie EgryAtmosphere: The multidisciplinary collective, notably made up of two artists/designers, has always been committed to societal, environmental and political issues. After an anti-nuclear capsule collection, the duo now decide to focus on both Europe & Paris, but this time, the love they feel for the City of Lights from ‘Vertigo’ to the references to the Parisian metro.Collection: The strong presence of large white and green stripes, as well as urban tones (white, blue, black, grey) which evoke public transport in Paris. From the fluid suit, to a complete denim look which is tightened like a bustier. Embroidered messages in support of Paris, from the Mona Lisa to an embroidered metro map. Voluminous constructions and silhouettes such as long, enveloping trench coats.Focus on: Dungarees worn with a blazer, for both men and women+ The silk shirt or the long tunic for the woman in shades of blue-violet with printed faces designed by the artist Louisa Gagliardi. Also, a nod to the group, Taxi Girl, and their song, ‘Cherchez le garçon’ (Look for the boy).To note: Labels designed in the form of metro tickets which become ribbons, and their message which is cleverly scattered throughout the collection.Music of the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information)
